AdminNovember 16, 2009 2 comments

Konami’s re-release of the popular Metal Gear Solid 2 title, on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC, expands gameplay with added options, and features. The largest addition to gameplay are the over 200 fun and challenging VR missions split between four specific modes– Sneaking mode, Weapon mode, First Person View mode, and Variety mode. In addition to VR missions, Alternative missions have also been included; allowing players to test their skills in Bomb Disposal mode, Photograph mode, Hold Up mode, and Elimination mode. play as Solid Snake in the new Snake Tales missions, which incorporate everyone’s favorite MGS character into five new action-packed stories.

A HUGE thank you goes out to WarezBB members muleoftheeast and Absyion. They have posted a fix that allows Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance to run on Windows 7, 32-bit (x86-32) and 64-bit (x86-64) OS.

Verified working on Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 Home Premium - 32 bit (x86 -32), Windows 7 Professional - 64 bit (x86-64). Tested and uploaded by me.

Does NOT work on Netbooks!!

Also includes:

150 alternate missions.
350 VR missions designed to test agility, stealth and weapons.
Virtual reality scenarios where the normal rules of combat are altered to push the player to new levels.
The game drops Snake into five new 'Snake Tales' set within environments seen in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

If anyone experiences weird screens when starting or playing the game (ie: screen mostly blue or green):

Image

Go to Options of the game.
Image

Then go to the Drawing tab, check "LEVEL" or "Custom", lower all settings all the way to the left.
Image

Play the game, screen should display normally. Go back to Options, try moving options up in increments of 1 then play, till the screen goes funny again. That should help you zero in on max picture quality for your PC.
